Sailing Lessons

Androscoggin Lake is a superb lake for sailing, and the AYC is a great place to learn how. Our hands-on, on-board lessons are available for young first-timers, novices or sailors looking to further hone their skills. Topics cover safety and seamanship, use of equipment, maneuvering, navigating, knowing the right-of-way, docking and more.

We plan to offer sailing lessons this summer - open to both teen and adult members. Please fill out the registration form and email to AYC1909@gmail.com and use online link below to provide payment.  If needed, registration forms and checks can be mailed to PO Box 241, Wayne, ME 04284.

Session 1a: July 6- July 17 10am-11:30am (registration deadline June 29th)

Session 1b: July 6- July 17 12:30pm-2:00pm (registration deadline June 29th)

Session 2a: July 20- July 31 10am-11:30am (registration deadline July 6th)

Session 2b: July 20- July 31 12:30pm-2:00pm (registration deadline July 6th)

Sailors must be proficient swimmers and be capable of boarding and moving around on the sailboat unassisted. 

Lessons cost $50 per person per session, paid in advance either on line below or mail a check to: AYC, PO Box 241, Wayne, ME 04284 prior to the registration deadline for your session.
